The Process & Planning

About

In the realm of Orphic, where honor and valor reign supreme, one knight possesses an extraordinary gift - the ability to conjure visions through daydreams. Standing as the kingdom's last hope in a world teetering on the brink of chaos. But as he guides his men through epic battles and strives to bring glory to Orphic, the cost of his mystical abilities becomes more evident, painting a compelling tale of sacrifice, identity,  and the haunting allure of his poetic visions. Embark on a journey where dreams are woven into reality and the fate of a kingdom hangs in the balance, in this captivating tale of a knight's destiny and the magic of poetry.

The Why

Before I go in-depth there is one term that should be explained by Google:

Maladaptive Daydreaming - when someone daydreams excessively, sometimes for hours.at a time. Unable to tell apart fiction and reality. About 2.5% of adults experience this excess daydreaming.

For a phenomenon such as this, I want to be able to honor a loved one and be able to spin a narrative for those who experience this feeling, knowing it's okay to be in a state. Yet know that there are people ready to understand, and willing to guide you on your journey. Just like Atticus - his daydreams being turned into visions serves the dangers of maladaptive daydreaming when taken to the extreme. All through the typical life of a knight, Navigating endless paths and the reality of his choices, all unfolding this intertwining narrative.

I am quite excited to be writing this medieval-era concept with a poetic twist to it! Filled with twists and world-building for this tale! My first attempt at this and I'm quite excited! :)

Planning

- Currently planned out 6 major arcs, serving as trials for Atticus must endure using his newly attained abilities.

- Intermissions to extend the depth of the lore

- Concept art is somewhat finalized.

- Starting to develop characters
